The Bed Shop Tamworth originally called Belgrave Furnishings was the idea of Harry Breadon whose family had been in the furniture manufacturing in Northern Ireland for many years. With this wealth of knowledge and the support of his wife Ann Breadon he started the company in 1976 selling beds, bedroom, dining and living room furniture in Belgrave, where they also ran Belgrave Post Office. He soon expanded opening a second shop in the Tamworth town centre in 1981.
In 1986 Robert Breadon joined the company starting the second generation in the bed shop, taking over in 2002. In 2003 Rob’s sister Fiona Short joined the company after working in their other business Belgrave Post office. Since then Stephen Short has joined (Rob’s Brother in law) and Robert’s Cousin Kate. It’s a real family business.
Robert and the family believe in quality products, in giving time and no pressure for the customers shopping in store, good customer service, fast reliable deliveries and being friendly though out. After all it’s not something you buy every day. With this ethos we pride ourselves on delivering time and time again.
